Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using www.eaststardrivingschools.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this Site.
Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on the Site for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title.
Payment and Cancellation
- Payment: Fees for services provided by East Star Driving Schools are due upon registration or as otherwise specified. Payment may be made through methods accepted by us, such as credit card, debit card, or other payment options.
- Cancellation: After payment, cancellation of services is subject to our discretion and may not be refundable. We reserve the right to determine refund eligibility based on the circumstances of each case. Any refunds granted will be issued using the original method of payment.
Student Requirements and Course Completion
- Driver’s License: Students must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License and have it with them during the in-car driving lessons. A temporary Driver’s License (G1) is still valid for this purpose.
- MTO Requirements: To satisfy the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) requirements, students must complete:
  - 20 hours in the classroom: 70% passing grade required.
  - 10 hours of in-car lessons: 70% passing grade required.
  - 10 hours of take-home study from the classroom.
- Course Duration: All aspects of the course MUST be completed within 364 days of starting the class to be eligible for certification.
- Fee Payment: All fees must be paid in full before Our Driving School can finish the 10 in-car lessons as required by the MTO.
In-Car Lesson Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation Notice: Cancellations of an in-car lesson must be made 24 hours in advance. Please contact your in-car driving instructor at the cell number provided to the student.
- Cancellation Fees: Our Driving School has a $25 late cancellation fee or a $25 no-show fee to cover the costs associated with the missed in-car lesson.
Student Pick-Up for In-Car Lessons

Our Driving School will arrange for student pick-up for in-car lessons within the city limits. Otherwise, a pre-arranged pick-up location will be determined. Please call for more details on city limits.
Refund Policy
- No Refunds for Incomplete Lessons by Students: There will be no refunds for the Driver’s Education Course and any fees if any lessons (in-class or in-car) are not completed by students.
- Refunds for Incomplete Lessons by Instructors: If any lessons are not completed by instructors, a refund will be issued.
Disclaimer

The materials on the Site are provided on an ‘as is’ basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaim and negate all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.
Limitations of Liability

In no event shall we or our suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on our Site, even if we have been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and the province of Ontario, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms of service for the Site at any time without notice. By using this Site, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Conditions.
